I think these are good points, which you have mentioned here to unlock equity. In addition, i want to add one more thing, be sure that give it in writing to bank that extra you pay in mortgage is going to be deducted from principal amount and not from the interest.

I agree with you, though the prices of homes are lowest ever but it is tough to buy it. Lending standards are very strict and one needs to go through many formalities before getting the deal done. Your suggestions are helpful and buyers would definitely have benefit with these points.

Excellent question! Still to early in the process to tell how many buyer’s actually took advantage of that program. In our city, which is a resort and second home community, the impact was minimal.

Since property values dropped so low it is in my opinion that some people are not willing to pay their mortgage even if they CAN afford it. Owning a house was once considerate as good investment, however this perception is changing now. I personally know a person who is able to make payments but chosen not to because of dramatic fall in house value.

It is true that people are spending more time at home entertaining rather than going out. Backyards today are being transformed into beautiful living spaces.

Outdoor lighting is often overlooked. Unfortunately it can be difficult to add the necessary
conduits after all your landscaping is completed so it is very important when landscaping your yard to include your electrical service before everything else.

Outdoor lighting will enhance your outdoor living space. It will add ambiance and make your guests feel at home. Lighting should be considered accents or accessories for your home not a utilitarian fixture.

Any interior designer will tell you how important it is invest in good lighting for the inside of your home but I also believe the same thought and effort should be put to the outside of your home. I know this because I’m speaking from experience. We put a lot of time and effort into designing our backyard but one thing we didn’t do was include any electrical service to
our backyard (big regret). So instead we have been using solar lights which are okay but unfortunately they’re not getting charged well enough because the lights go dim by 10:00.

If you plan on spending a lot of time outdoors I would highly recommend investing in good quality outdoor lighting. Trust me, it’ll be well worth it.
